Used to be that you could buy a Uniden, which actually made the Cobra CBs, get the exact same radio as a Cobra for about $10-20 cheaper. If the only thing you can find is Cobra, I would go with a Model 29. Good all around radio. You might want to consider looking on eBay for an older working model. I've had one for over 20 years now, and hasn't missed a beat. You should also consider antennas and microphones when installing one. I've ran with a Wilson 1000 Magnet Mount, and been really happy with it's performance. I'm also using an Astatic 575M6 Microphone.
