I agree with Rod, rent the back hoe. Unless you're in the business, the back hoe will sit alot more than being used. A smaller tractor will fit your needs. I have a small ford 1710 4x4 for my 25 acres. Works good for me. If I need help trenching, I'll call the neighbor. Craig
