I have returned many tools to Sears for replacement. Usually no problems! But when they started trying to hand me a "refurbished tool," I insisted that they give me one off the display rack! There is a reason that they have a "box-full" of refurbished tools... the same tool that a person wants replaced! I usually find that the store manager will try to help {give out a "new" replacement}, even if they are the one that tells the clerk to hand out refurbished tools!
