i have one of those crapsman tap and die sets also{got it as a gift} im fortunate mine hasent broke yet. but give it time. i traded all my broken stuff in, and now it just sits in the back of a draw with the tags still on them. crafstman sure has gone down hill. keep a hold of those old tools and dont let them go. to get a replacement nowadays is really a disapointment compared to your old stuff.
