When I removed mine, I used a razor blade (new sharp single edge)and slid it between the mirror and the adhesive sticker of the convex mirror. I also used lacquer thinner in the slit and worked it in with the blade to release the adhesive. Is you regular mirror frame plastic or metal? Don't get the lacquer thinner on the paint or the plastic or it may cause some damage if you do. It worked for me.
