Willie, used car dealer has been reading and cancelling the codes with his plug in computer. Removing the batery cable on this one doesn't clear codes. Not leaving ign on or running while refueling, or even turning on to read guages, (except at dealer when connected to computer.) Cap is one of those 1/4 turn types, which rachets as soon as you turn it tight. Hard not to put on properly. Thanks for the input however! Davis, son-in-law's best friend is a service writer at a major Chevy dealer. He'll be checking on this Tuesday! Thanks for the responses - Anyone else have any ideas? Please feel free......
