TA is the IHC version of a hi-low deal. The TS you can shift up or down while on the fly, no cluctching required. The Ford conversions you mentioned still needed the clutch, stop moving, to shift. The TA does tend to go out rather often, you kinda assume they are in poor condion when you buy one..... The good news is that is is one of the cheaper & eisier hi/lo setups to repair. --->Paul
