Pappy's tractor.

Hello,
I have inherited my Grandfathers tractor. I plan to restore it as time and money allow. I have no real idea what brand it is. I just know that it has a four cyl. engine, 4 speed trans., tires are close together in the front, right and left hand brake, clutch is on the left,red paint is flaking off,hand crank in front, supposedly is either a Case or Allis - Chalmers and supposedly was made around 1948 or 1950. (Whew!)
Would anyone be willing to look at a few pictures and see if they could help me determine the make and model of my "new" tractor? I certainly would appreciate it!
