This wouldn't be a weight distributing hitch, just a regulare reciever hitch. The truck has the 3.73 rear end, 4wd, towing package, the FX4 off road package, but it also has had frame repair in the rear part of the frame right behind the axle and where the hitch bolts on. It has the 5.4 L tirton V8 engine (2-valve) fuel injected. It has the 17 inch tires. It has the factory reciever hitch. Has been used to pull a bobcat 763 with it pulled all the way to the front of the trailer. This trip would be 220 miles, so it sounds like I will need to find a 3/4 ton truck and gooseneck to borrow from my Dad's cousin. That is a dodge 2500 with a v10. Any input on whether it would be a better deal to get someone ship it professionally? Do any of the big renting companies like National or Hertz rent out pickup trucks and flatbed trailers for this type of application?
