It only cuts out in reverse? Wow, OSHA went overboard on this one. The blades are more than likely electric clutch - so that might be difficult to override. I wouldn't pretend to know exactly where to look, but if it was my mower, and I stress that, I wouldn't do this to anothers mower, I would find the switch that is hooked up to the reverse lever and override it - leave it normal open or normal closed, however it works. My friend has a LT1050, it's probably very similar, next time I'm there, I'll look for it.
