clutch lockout for storage

I have noticed that on my Kubota and on an '80s era Iseki-built
White tractor I was working on, there is a latch so you can lock
the clutch pedal pressed down. This is supposed to keep the
discs from rusting during long-term storage, e.g. over winter. Just wondering how many people do this? For those that have
replaced clutches on older tractors, did you ever notice a rusted
pressure plate or flywheel? Rick
