My dad bought a "smoker" car years ago - we couldn"t ever get rid of the smell. It had permiated the carpering, headliner, upholstery, everything. I"ll never buy a car from a previous owner that smoked. Talk to a used car dealer, see what they use to get the cars cleaned up for resale.
