Proper disc for a JD 720

What would be the proper size disc for my 720 Diesel. Looking at hydraulic lift with tires...I can find 8 footers cheaper, but they are small, a nice 10 foot is not too bad on price, but I cant help but think that 10 ft is too narrow...I want to really weight it down and it is clay ground, cornstalks and grass...
I think I could pull a 10 foot in 5th gear....
what do you think?
