Tony, keep in mind your H was developed from late 1930"s technology, so what you have experienced with old car engines pretty much applies here. If timing isn"t the issue on the miss, you might try some Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel in case the problem comes from a sticky valve. I put an electronic ignition module (12-volt neg. ground) and 3-ohm Flamethrower� coil on my "51 H last fall. I"m very impressed with the performance. The tractor starts on the first revolution of the crankshaft every time, even after sitting for 6 weeks or so. I liked it so much, I have ordered it for my "48 Dodge 4-dr. (6-volt pos. ground). I did have to adjust the timing a bit after installing the module but the swap went well.
