Remove the number one sparkplug and bring the engine up to TDC on the compression stroke. You will have to find the timing mark to find TDC.

After you have determined TDC, turn the distributor so that the rotor is pointing toward the number one tower position on the cap, then turn it until the points are just starting to open. That should get you close enough to get the engine running for proper timing.

I can"t help you with the correct point gap either. I expect someone on the Minneapolis Moline board could tell you the correct setting. When I don"t know the correct gap, I set the points to the approximate thickness of a well worn dime. That is generally close enough to get an engine running.
