O/T Turtles in pond

Other than being a dead on shot with a 22 for a head shot does anyone know of a way to remove/trap/kill turtles in a farm pond. Maybe I should also ask do I really want to remove them. Some people say they eat your fish but others say the loss fish are worth it because the turtles keep snakes out of the pond. I have not really made up my mind who to believe yet. Thanks for the help.
