Too lean a fuel mixture will do it. Open your high and low speed jets a tad..Will have to experiment to get the sweet spot. Don't want them too open or you will waste fuel when running normally, and the engine may not run smoothly (too rich a mixture). Cold eng temp requires a higher fuel air mix than a warm one. That's why you have thermostats on engines. Run more efficiently at around 180 degrees to 200 degrees. Think about this. You choke a cold engine to get fuel thru the carb to the intake manifold. But why do you have to keep the choke partially engaged initially after the engine has fired.....you got it; need a richer mixture. Don't want to get too hot or you have coolant boiling problems and oil breakdown; on the other end you have condensation and misfiring and just a big gooey mess. Mark
