You guys will think i'm crazy, but the best dogs that i've ever had were Dobermans. Incredibly smart, loyal, protective, funny, and high maintenance. Lost my best buddy to bone cancer a year ago. He was only 7 (people) years young. We raised him from a pup.

Now we have a dobie girl that we adopted from the SPCA. Never will we get another dog from anwhere else. She's been a wonderful dog. Older, just like us.

Rescue a dog from a shelter and you'll have a freind for life.
