Cost of delivery did rise, cost of production probably did too. The rising cost of fuel isn't exactly supply and demand but something like it and biofuels will be just as volitile (unfortunately) as convetional fuel is. The idea is that the introduction of biofuels will make all fuels a bit less volitile.
