Supply and demand has a lot to with it. Thirty years ago four row combines were popular and many famaly farms bought them, harvested 100 to 500 acres total per year. Now the new combines are going to the 1000 to xxxxx acres per year operations so the machines age at 10 to 20 times the rate they used to. We found a 4420 last year that was in better shape than some of the 9400 and 9500"s we looked at. There are some very good old machines out there that no one wants.
