It is the same case as the old starter. They did put a new gear on it though. There were no shims when I originally removed it. I can see the gear when I try to start and it does not appear to move out, even a little bit. It just spins. Maybe I should try to see if I can push it out with a screw driver or two. I do have the battery posts connected right. Thanks Dennis
