Mornin Nut...I suspect the truck is being sold because of high gasoline prices and the truck will only git 11 mpg at its best. I have one that has performed very good with the Allison transmission and I bought it for the reason you stated, pullin a loaded gooseneck, and it will still git 10 mpg and never have to add oil between changes. 75K miles ain't bad on that engine, jus broke in good. You should buy it for a good price since it is considered a gas hog but it will do the job fer ya...good luck
