It might be as simple as a computer glitch. The trucks computers are designed to cut back on the fuel on upshifts to soften the shifts and save driveline wear at lower rpms. Try unhooking the battery overnight,and reconnect it in the morning before you drive it. Drive it in a normal manner. The computer "learns" as you drive,this might take care of the problem.
