There is no mechanical link between the throttle pedal and intake manifold throttle blade ffrom 2003 onwards. When the engine is approaching it torque peak. The computer closes the throttle blades a bit to limit torque. Also during shifts the computer drops engine power then re-applies once the shift is complete. That is a smart idea as it prevents neck snapping ,driveline jolting shifts. Without slipping/burning the clutch packs to obtain a smooth shift.
