It was a very unfortunate accident. There is no good excuse for why it happened. A young girl is dead, and some folks will have to carry that with themselves for the rest of their lives. A horrible tragedy. My condolences to her surviving family, and a prayer that such a young innocent one is in heaven seated beside God, now. A couple of weekends ago I'd taken down some oak trees, cut them to size and was dragging them off. Well, I had my sister helping me, and she was on the tractor. She'd backed up and I was hooking the chain up to the drawbar when the tractor suddenly came flying back. It was very close. I made it out of there by pushing myself off of a rotating tire, and length the the tractor was straddling the trunk when she stopped it. It happened very fast. I didn't know she was in gear riding the clutch, and she'd moved up into a higher range. When her foot slipped off of the clutch I was bending over dead center on that drawbar and thought I was dead. I made some dumb mistakes and lived to learn from them, that time. Life is dangerous to begin with, and stupid mistakes... Mark
