Needs to chain the 3pt down using that type of hookup I believe. Woulda been a lot better to use the hyd plate that routes oil to real ports, but it is what it is. There is likely enough 'power' from the Ford to power a regular wood splitter with a big cylinder. There is not much 'flow' and the wood splitter will run real slow. Would need about double the flow to work up to a useable speed for many..... Then, if he says the hyd splitter uses a small cylinder - well, the whole thing sounds like it wasn't worth the effort, an old tractor with old pump needs a gigantic cylinder to make up for the 1500-1800 psi vs 2400 on new tractors.... A pto pump might be a good option at this point. --->Paul
