Hey Greenbeenman in Kansas - I was one of those guys that drove to Washington DC. I drove a John Deere 4320 with duals. Everyone told us we would eat up a set of tires so we put on 2 brand new tires before we left. Dad said " I ruin 1 or 2 tires each year farming so i might as well get that out of the way during the winter". Guess what. The tires still had the little rubber nubs on them when we got there. Drove from Western Kansas all the way. Over 1600 miles. Towed my 4 wheel drive pickup truck with a camper. That is where I lived for 2 months. The highways won"t hurt the tires at tractor speeds. Now towing your tractor is a different story.
