Synthetic oil. When for 1st time?

My wife just bought a new Yukon and I am going to run Mobil 1 in it. I hear a lot about breaking a motor in with dino oil first then changing to synthetic. Then I hear that some cars come from the factory with Mobil 1 in it. My plan is to run the motor for 2000 miles with the original oil and then switch to Mobil 1 . Is this too soon? If it is please tell me the reasoning. I'm prolly overanalyzing this thing but just can't help it.
