Five years ago I broke my ankle and needed to come up with a way to get the spring planting done. My family took care of the dairy chores and I made a hand clutch attachment that fit on the three field tractors- JD 30, 40, and 50 Series, so I could do the field work. Cost about five bucks for each one, and did not interfere with a non-handicapped driver using the tractor. Was published in Farm Show, got contacted by Agribility project- Farm Show editors completely rewrote what I submitted and made several major mistakes- their editors are illiterate when it comes to real farm equipment knowledge, which is why I will not submit any of the other 18 or so ideas I've developed, because they insist on 'rewrite'. Agribility took my clutch handle idea (I actually sent them one of the clutch handles I made), and had to make drawings of 'modifications' before they put it on their website. My handle clamped onto the existing clutch pedal with two bolts, and by it's design, gained leverage and stability by how it attached. If you send your mailing address to [email protected] I'll send you a picture of the handle.
