Lately the most effective training that we have been doing is live mock rescue calls. It gives a chances for everyone to be incedent command and those how never taken lead a chance to step up. Luckly our chief is good friends with Nebraska Emergency Management. We are like there genuie pig. Which is good for a small town of a 1000. We are only twenty min. away from Lincoln Ne. so we are better off then some others. Simulation include. Plane crash into school. (NEMA helped) Car Rollover in ditch with mass victims 3 Swiming pool (I was the one that had to jump in) Star Care 5 which is our air ambulance One other thing that has really helped is we have installed a new radio system. Our pagers have been upgrade and you are able to hear the traffic during the call. This allows us to get a better feeling of whatever body just about in the county is doing. Good luck. Steve
