I did the same thing, bought 20 ft ones & got them to cut them to 12 & 8 , several years ago. The Clerk could never understand why I did not just buy cut lengths I wanted. I finally gave up explaining. Everytime I went there after that, she mentioned me cutting those chains. Last time I was in TS, all of the hooks, binders, etc say China...... Speaking of straps, last week a guy I know had a 135 MF with a Bush Hog on a Flat gooseneck. All that was holding it was a light 3 inch nylon strap. I tried to explain laws & safety to him, he laughed at me. Hope DOT stops him soon before tractor rolls off, bet he will not laugh at the ticket........
