Horse Pasture spring prep

Hey there. Im not really the horse type myself. But the ole lady is and guess who the lucky farmer is that she wants to smooth out the pasture. We have clay that is now all rutted from the horse feet walking around and was wondering what was the best and easiest way to smooth it out. There isnt any grass in this part right now just dirt/mud. Thanks for any ideas.
