Sympathize with you Stan... just shake my head. The other day I had my GMC TRUCK floor matt stolen. I had it layed over top step of our front door, came to gain it through an auction sale I set up for a GM dealer who was moving from his old shop to one of those new multi-$$$ generic ones. I held the sale and paid the table workers and Mr. GM got $17000 for his left overs, auctioneer took $28500, telling Mr. GM he only took in $22000, I put up $4000 in advertizing and ended up sitting with MR. GM to look at the invoice from auctioneer who told me nothing was left to split after pay workers and adverizing. Mr. GM said was happy with $17k as he thought he was only going to get $8k so did not want to get involved. Mr. GM asked what he could do to satisfy me personnaly between him and me, I said I'll take that floor matt, he said ok, picked it up and found penny underneath, took penny too, have been showing the floor matt off now for going on three years, and every time I walked over it to go in or out my house it reminded be every time to wonder why people take things. It is gone now, maybe kids, maybe drug addicts, who knows. Reported theft to police, they came by and took report, when asked what value did I put on the matt, I said $28500. Policeman looked at me weirdly and said "what?" I said $28500. He said "why would you leave a $28500 rug laying on your front step?", I said. "I leave a $32000 Jeep parked out back, what's the difference?" The other day I got a package to fill out from the police under "Victims of Crime" to fill out and claim loss. So the moral of this long preamble is it's going to get broke, it's going to get stolen, so follow the game plan and REPORT it, if nothing else, its on file, right Rose in Austrailia. By the way, I still have the ...$28500 penny.
