Can anybody offer some suggestions? Here is the problem we have. We have a Long 445 that pumped all of the hydraulic fluid into the crankcase. We thought that the only way that could happen is a shaft seal failure on the power lift hydraulic pump. We overhauled the pump which included replacing the shaft seal. After using the lift for just a short time the same thing happened again- it pumped all the hydraulic fluid into the engine. The power lift operated erraticly, that is it would lift a couple of times and then quit. We would bleed the system by cracking a fitting and it would work again for awhile. It also has a separate pump for the power steering but there is no indication that either of these pumps has leaked around the shaft seal. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Wayne Plotts
