Sounds like a typo. The current full-size pickups have oil life indicators, so you just need to change the oil when it tells you to. 10,000 miles between oil changes is typical if you follow the oil life indicator. Note that if you change more frequently, you need to remember to reset the indicator at your oil change. The indicator is based on mileage and type of driving; it doesn't know you changed the oil until you reset it. I'm pretty sure there's nothing special about the original oil. Just wait until the first oil change comes up and switch to Mobil One. GM has started using Mobil One as factory fill for Corvettes and Cadillacs.
