We in America seem to think that we can expect the state to raise our kids. We leave EVERYTHING to the teacher, day care provider, etc. & expect that we can pay them as little as possible & then entrust the most valuable of our possessions (kids) to them & blame them when something goes wrong! A lot of us don't even insist that the kids know how to drive a stick, let alone REALLY know how to drive. The ones that survive turn out to be pretty good. Those that don't, weren't. We shouldn't blame the teachers. It is OUR fault that we neglected our duty to teach our kids, not just about driving, but about life itself. Venting now complete.
