I remember as an eighth grader a science teacher seperating hydrogen and oxygen from water for us. Of course, he used a Bunsen Burner to do it, and the hydrogen only lasted a fraction of a second after he put a lit match under the test tube. The oxygen, lit a match, blew it out, dropped it down into a test tube, and it ignited. Maybe that guy's breaking it down somehow as well.

When I hear of proposed Hydrogen cars on the highway, I think of my old science teacher, Mr. Gunner Gunerson, and envision a bunch of Hindenbergs runnin around on wheels. I'm not sure that technologies have made Hydrogen any less explosive, but could be wrong. Who knows? Not me.
