Something sounds fishy there, now doesn't it? I read in the paper last week that gas in the 40s and 50s was more expensive than it is today, if you compare inflation, actual dollars, and so forth. If that was true, you'd think farmers would've switched to allmost all diesel back then. I think the oil companies are paying the newspapers to put that garbage in there so people won't worry about being bent over every time they pull up to the pump.
