Mother Deere who isn't carrying debt and has the best cost effective manufacturing facilities in the Western & third world countries. JD should be able to build a similar product for a similar price. Same price for raw materials, transportation and labour. Or is Agco made in China for peanuts and just assembled in the west? If a company is going to undercut prices and sell at a loss, hoping to gain market share in the long run. They have to be backed with patient investors having deep pockets. Uncutting prices and gaining market share certainly worked for a Japanese auto and electronics industry. Ever wonder why Japanese tourists stagger about with three or four cameras around their neck? The exact same camera in North America is 1/4 to 1/3 of the price in Japan. The tourists purchase several cameras and take them home "used" to evade taxes and tariffs.
