That's what I'm getting at.If I'm only going to get 13 or so with the 6.0,no real lose if the 8.1 gets 12 mpg.It's a tradeoff I can live with ,for the difference in oomph.The oil consumption has me concerned.The Duramax is just too much $$$ upfront for me.If I was driving 50,000 miles per year,yes.Plus,if I need to haul REALLY heavy stuff,I'd borrow my brother's PSD ( like I do now-heck,they're his trailers,I might as well use his truck).Anyway,thanks to all,and keep 'em coming.Lyle
