Best advice I can offer is to identify the engine and its condition. There are parts on it (if the block or head should be bad) that have particular value (to some of us). A 217-230 will measure 23 inches and a 237 -251 will measure 25 inches. There's generally someone searching for a short block manifold , governor, or crankshaft. The serial number should be on a plate on the block on the right (carburetor side) if it's an Industrial or stamped on the upper left corner front of the block, just under the cylinder head (on the distributor side.) Hope this helps.
