Radiator cap for Model A

I recently bought a 1944 jd model A and am currently restoring it. It runs great so most of the work is cosmetic. I recently bought a new radiator cap (via internet) and upon opening the package, I couldn't help but notice that it was way too large to fit my filler neck. Now I am stumped as to what is going on here. Maybe the radiator is from a different model? The casting number on the top tank is A2906R. If someone out there can help me I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!!
