It would help to know what you're working with! Obviously, leaky injection pump shaft seals are always a prime suspect. If the unit has an engine-mounted fuel lift pump, if that fails diesel will drain into the oil. Bad injector(s), or a broken high-pressure or return line can leak into the oil (if the lines are INTERNAL on the engine you're working with, as they are on certain engines).
