48 years old and owned nothing but fords forever Bought a lincoln to take my family on vacation to Yellowstone. A week before we are to leave head gasket goes out.300 mile into trip A/C goes out. Frustrated so we stop at a burger joint to cool off and when we came out the car is lying on the ground with an airline popped for the suspension. Limp over to a ford /licoln dealer and repair airleak and A/C. A day lost and 18 miles down the road suspension is on the ground again. Limp back ,need a valve ,but have to order. Rented a car (GM) finshed vacation thru Yellowstone with rental and was so impressed with handling and gas mileage that I started to think GM. Got home and wife went grocery shopping with lincoln ,came out from store and ignition switch had failed. Next day traded lincoln for bonneville and my explorer for a tahoe and been in heaven eversince especially with the gas mileage and the soft ride on these compared to the fords .
