Brad, You didn't say how long you have owned or operated the mower, but we have had ours for 24 years and only adjusted the clutches. That may be all it needs....Then again as you say , may need attention beyond an adjustment. I have broken 3 axles, one time I had to take it apart to get the grindings out of the case, the axle is more brittle and will shatter. The job was a little tricky to me but it works like new, but if you have a manual, please follow it.You should be able to find the parts, there are dealers out there although not as common as they once were...another doug
