Just a stupid question, maybe; but why don"t you use a male SAE-8 fitting/adapter and go to a 90 degree fitting, forget the banjo fitting. I think the banjo fitting you speak of is the kind that is used on some fuel systems? with a hollow bolt that screws through a block?
