That is a very good and very true point. Those tires are very soft rubber. I would reccommend an industrial tread tire if you will be on the road and won't be doing much tillage or work in mud. They will probably last better since they are hard and the tire lugs don't flex as much, which is what causes the tractor lugs to wear so fast on pavement. Good luck on your tractor. It might be better to get a truck mounted spreader, if you can find one that is in decent shape.
