Rebuilt Ford 4000

I am interested in buying a used tracter with enough HP to run a large round baler. A local dealer has a rebuilt Ford 4000. He has replaced the original 3 cyl. engine with a rebuilt 4 cyl. engine from a Ford 5000. The engine has new pistons and rings, the crank has been turned and the engine line bored. He has also replaced the hydraulics and the power steering pump. I have been cautioned the the 5000 engine might cause future problems. Has anyone had any experience with this situation? To buy or not to buy...that is the question. The price is in line with blue book values.
