Yesterday, the power company called and told me that our old farm 20 miles from here would be without power for at least a month. Seems that the new road construction that is going on by it somehow severed the underground feed...which is now buried under 25 - 30 feet of new fill.
Hope I don't need to get a tractor charged up and started before then.
