I've got two trucks with 6.2 diesels, 3.42 axles, and the factory four-speed manual with .73 overdrive (NP833). Spins around 1900 RPM at 65 MPh which is perfect for the 6.2 torque and efficiency curve. Also got a 1/2 4WD truck with NP833 four-speed manual OD and 3.08s - and it's my best mileage 6.2 on a flat highway but otherwise, the 3.08s and OD are a bit much for the low torque of a 6.2.
